PERAN GLOBAL GOVERNANCE DALAM MENGATASI KRISIS IKLIM DAN MEMPERKUAT KEAMANAN INTERNASIONAL

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran global governance dalam mitigasi perubahan iklim dan dampaknya terhadap keamanan internasional. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data dari berbagai laporan internasional, dokumen kebijakan, dan artikel ilmiah yang relevan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa lembaga internasional seperti UNFCCC dan IPCC memainkan peran vital dalam merumuskan kebijakan mitigasi, namun tantangan dalam implementasi tetap ada, terutama terkait ketidaksetaraan antara negara maju dan berkembang. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi bahwa perubahan iklim berpotensi memperburuk ketidakstabilan politik dan meningkatkan risiko konflik, khususnya di wilayah-wilayah rentan. Selain itu, terdapat kesenjangan dalam tata kelola global yang menghambat upaya kolektif untuk mitigasi. Kolaborasi multilateral, melalui inisiatif seperti Green Climate Fund, menjadi solusi penting dalam memastikan partisipasi semua negara dalam mitigasi perubahan iklim. Penelitian ini menekankan perlunya pendekatan yang inklusif dan adil dalam tata kelola global, serta memberikan rekomendasi kebijakan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas mitigasi perubahan iklim dan memperkuat keamanan internasional. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pemahaman dan pengembangan strategi yang lebih baik dalam menghadapi tantangan perubahan iklim di masa mendatang.
