PENGARUH TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN, KOMPETENSI, DISIPLIN KERJA DAN PENGEMBANGAN KARIR TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI (STUDI KASUS KANTOR REGIONAL VIII BADAN KEPEGAWAIAN NEGARA)
Abstract
Badan Kepegawaian Negara (BKN) adalah lembaga yang memiliki kewenangan untuk melakukan pembinaan dan menyelenggarakan manajemen Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN), namun fakta menunjukkan bahwa BKN masih belum optimal dalam melaksanakan tugasnya untuk menjamin kualitas kinerja ASN di Indonesia. Kondisi ini tentu saja tidak terlepas dari kinerja pegawai BKN yang belum mencapai tingkat optimal dalam menjalankan tugas-tugasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat Pendidikan, Kompetensi, Pengembangan Karir dan Disiplin terhadap Kinerja pegawai Kantor Regional VIII BKN. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 106 orang. Berdasarkan penelitian ini ditemukan adanya pengaruh variabel yang bernilai positif signifikan terhadap variable yang diteliti. Penelitian menunjukan bahwa kompetensi, pengembangan karir dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, sehingga peningkatan kompetensi, disiplin kerja, dan pengembangan karir pegawai diperlukan untuk lebih meningkatkan kinerja instansi. Di sisi lain, tingkat pendidikan tidak ditemukan pengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai, oleh karena itu sebaiknya instansi tidak hanya berfokus terhadap tingkat Pendidikan dalam proses seleksi, melainkan diperlukan pertimbangan variabel lain yang dapat mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai.
