MEMPREDIKSI ALTRUISTIC BEHAVIOR DENGAN PREDIKTOR RESIDENT PERCEPTIONS MELALUI AFFECTIVE COMMITMENT WARGA KOTA TASIKMALAYA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi altruistic behavior warga Kota Tasikmalaya dengan prediktor resident perceptions melalui affective commitment. Social exchange theory (SET) yang dikemukakan oleh Homans diterapkan sebagai landasan dalam mengembangkan model konseptual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei sebagai metode penelitian dengan mengumpulkan data dari sampel yang melibatkan sebanyak 140 responden. Structural equation modelling (SEM) digunakan sebagai teknik analisis data dengan alat bantu SmartPLS versi 3.0. Social perception dan infrastructure perception berpengaruh positif baik secara langsung ataupun tidak langsung terhadap altruistic behavior melalui affective commitment. Kemudian, environmental perception berpengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap altruistic behavior melalui affective commitment. Kebaruan pada riset ini adalah menambahkan hipotesis baru yaitu social perception dan infrastructure perception sebagai prediktor lain yang diduga mampu meningkatkan altruistic behavior. Riset ini menemukan bahwa economic perception dan cultural perception tidak berpengaruh terhadap altruistic behavior. Dengan demikian, peneliti selanjutnya mampu mempertimbangkan untuk mengeksplorasi prediktor-prediktor lain yang diduga mampu memprediksi altruistic behavior.
