INDEKS PEMBANGUNAN MANUSIA DAN INDEKS KUALITAS LINGKUNGAN HIDUP: ANALISIS KAUSALITAS DI INDONESIA

Abstract

Kualitas lingkungan berkaitan erat dengan pembangunan suatu negara terutama menuju pembangunan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kausalitas antara Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) dan Indeks Kualitas Lingkungan Hidup (IKLH) pada 33 provinsi di Indonesia periode 2010–2024. Menggunakan pendekatam ARDL/ECM dengan estimasi Pooled Mean Group (PMG), pengujian diawali dengan uji stasioneritas untuk memastikan orde integrasi sebelum estimasi kointegrasi. Uji Wald digunakan untuk memvalidasi signifikansi koefisien jangka panjang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya kausalitas satu arah dari IPM menuju IKLH yang signifikan dalam jangka panjang. Mekanisme koreksi kesalahan yang ditunjukkan oleh COINTEQ bernilai negatif menggambarkan adanya penyesuaian menuju keseimbangan dalam jangka panjang, dengan probabilitas yang signifikan. Sebaliknya, pengaruh IKLH terhadap IPM tidak signifikan dalam jangka Panjang dengan koefisien COINTEQ menunjukkan mekanisme penyesuaian yang lambat. Pada jangka pendek, terdapat hubungan kausalitas yang signifikan negatif dari IPM menuju IKLH, sebaliknya pengaruh IKLH terhadap IPM tidak signifikan. Pengujian Cross-Section Error-Correction menunjukkan hubungan jangka panjang yang signifikan dua arah antara IPM dan IKLH pada beberapa provinsi di Indonesia. Peningkatan kualitas pembangunan manusia memiliki peran strategis dalam mendorong perbaikan kualitas lingkungan secara berkelanjutan, sedangkan pengendalian tekanan lingkungan perlu diprioritaskan untuk memitigasi dampak negatif jangka pendek pembangunan.
