SIMULASI KINERJA OPERASI OVER CURRENT RELAY (OCR) PADA GANGGUAN HUBUNG SINGKAT DENGAN PENYESUAIAN PENGATURAN WAKTU

Overcurrent Relay (OCR) merupakan salah satu komponen proteksi utama dalam sistem distribusi tenaga listrik yang berfungsi untuk mendeteksi dan memutus arus lebih akibat gangguan hubung singkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensimulasikan kinerja OCR dengan penyesuaian pengaturan waktu berdasarkan arus gangguan pada Penyulang SN.03 di Gardu Induk Sei Rotan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi perhitungan manual arus gangguan dan waktu kerja relay berdasarkan karakteristik IEC Standard Inverse, serta simulasi menggunakan perangkat lunak ETAP. Pengujian dilakukan dengan memvariasikan lokasi gangguan sepanjang penyulang untuk memperoleh nilai arus gangguan yang berbeda. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa OCR2 (relay downstream) dengan arus pickup 520 A dan TMS 0,125 bekerja dalam waktu 1,47 detik terhadap arus gangguan sebesar 940 A. Sedangkan OCR1 (relay upstream) dengan arus pickup 1820 A dan TMS 0,2 bekerja pada waktu 1,77 detik, sehingga memberikan margin koordinasi sebesar 0,3 detik. Kurva Time-Current Characteristic (TCC) yang dihasilkan memperlihatkan bahwa sistem proteksi telah disetting secara selektif dan sesuai standar koordinasi proteksi. Penyesuaian nilai pickup dan TMS yang tepat terbukti mampu menjaga keandalan sistem distribusi serta meminimalkan dampak gangguan terhadap sistem secara keseluruhan
