PERAN DOKUMEN BUSINESS REQUIREMENT DALAM PENGEMBANGAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI PT X

Perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong perusahaan meningkatkan efektivitas proses bisnis melalui pengembangan sistem digital terintegrasi. PT X sebagai perusahaan multisektor memiliki kebutuhan sistem yang kompleks dan dinamis akibat keberagaman proses bisnis pada setiap sektor perusahaan. Kondisi tersebut meningkatkan kebutuhan dokumentasi bisnis yang jelas dan terstruktur melalui Business Requirement Document (BRD). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran dokumen BRD dalam pengembangan teknologi informasi di PT X. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui analisis dokumen BRD pada proyek pengembangan sistem. Proses penelitian dilakukan dilakukan melalui identifikasi kebutuhan bisnis, penyusunan BRD, analisis kebutuhan, penyusunan high-level flow, serta proses review dan sign-off dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BRD membantu dokumentasi, komunikasi, validasi, dan pengendalian kebutuhan bisnis selama pengembangan sistem berlangsung. Keberadaan BRD juga membantu mengurangi perubahan requirement dan meningkatkan kesesuaian implementasi sistem dengan kebutuhan bisnis perusahaan. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BRD memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung efektivitas pengembangan teknologi informasi di PT X.
