Intervensi Back Massage terhadap Penurunan Nyeri Pasien Rheumatoid Artritis
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaiamana intervensi back massage terhadap penurunan nyeri pasien rheumatoid artritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kasus dengan pendekatan proses keperawatan. Subjek penelitian adalah dua orang pasien lansia dengan Rheumatoid Arthritis yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Intervensi back massage dilakukan selama tiga hari berturut-turut, setiap sesi berlangsung selama 20-30 menit. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui format pengkajian asuhan keperawatan lansia dan lembar skala nyeri Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat penurunan signifikan dalam intensitas nyeri setelah penerapan back massage. Pada klien I, skala nyeri menurun dari 6 (nyeri sedang) menjadi 1 (nyeri ringan), sementara pada klien II, skala nyeri menurun dari 5 (nyeri sedang) menjadi 2 (nyeri ringan). Selain itu, pasien melaporkan peningkatan rasa nyaman dan berkurangnya ketegangan otot. Penerapan back massage efektif dalam mengurangi nyeri pada pasien dengan rheumatoid arthritis. Intervensi ini tidak hanya mengurangi intensitas nyeri tetapi juga meningkatkan kesejahteraan emosional dan fisik pasien. Simpulaan studi kasus ini bahwa penerapan back massage dapat mengurangi nyeri klien dengan rheumtoid arthritis.
