Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge about the kangaroo method and weight gain in LBW infants at Al-Mulk Regional Hospital, Sukabumi City in 2025. This study used an analytical survey method with the Chi-Square statistical test. The study was conducted in 2025. The population in this study were all mothers who had LBW infants, a total of 31 people, with a sampling technique using total sampling. The results showed that a small portion of respondents had insufficient knowledge (25.8%), and most babies experienced weight gain (71.0%). The results of the Chi-Square test showed a p-value of 0.00, which means it is smaller than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge about kangaroo method care and weight gain in LBW infants at Al-Mulk Regional Hospital, Sukabumi City in 2025
