Hubungan antara Gaya Berkencan dan Jenis Perilaku Berkencan pada Remaja SMA

This study aimed to identify the characteristics of dating styles and examine their association with risky dating behavior among students at public senior high schools in Denpasar City. A quantitative associative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among 402 Grade X and XI students from four public senior high schools who were currently in romantic relationships. Data were collected using the Short Form Love Attitudes Scale, which measures six dating styles: eros, ludus, storge, pragma, mania, and agape. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with Fisher’s Exact test. The results showed that pragma was the most dominant dating style, reported by 114 respondents (28.4%), followed by combination styles (26.4%) and eros (24.9%). A total of 57 respondents (14.18%) reported risky dating behavior, with kissing being the most frequently reported behavior (56.14%). Bivariate analysis demonstrated a significant association between dating style and risky dating behavior (p = 0.023). The highest proportion of risky behavior was observed among respondents with the ludus style (42.9%), followed by mania (25.0%) and eros (19.0%), whereas pragma (7.0%), agape (7.1%), and storge (12.2%) showed lower proportions. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening adolescent education and preventive interventions for risky dating behavior by considering differences in dating styles.
