This study aimed to identify factors related to the low utilization of Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) and to examine the role of education, counseling, and midwifery services in supporting the success of the Family Planning Program. The method used was a narrative literature review through searches of national and international articles published between 2018 and 2025 using Google Scholar and PubMed. The findings showed that LARC utilization was related to knowledge, education, husband support, parity, socioeconomic status, attitudes, interpersonal communication, and health service quality; education and counseling also played an important role in improving knowledge and acceptance of LARC. In conclusion, increasing LARC utilization requires strengthened education and counseling involving partners, improved midwives' competence, and continuous improvement in the quality of contraceptive services.
