Data were analyzed using univariate analysis tests with presentation of tables in the form of frequency distributions and percentages. The results showed that knowledge about self-care behavior in hospitalized heart failure patients tended to vary, with an average knowledge score of 4.44 and a standard deviation of 1.554. The research method used in vitro experiments. K. pneumoniae was isolated from hospital samples and then multiplied for 24 hours. The nebulizer jet was then intentionally contaminated with K. pneumoniae and disinfected using chlorhexidine solution at various concentrations. The effectiveness of the disinfection process was then assessed using culture and calculated based on the number of colonies formed after the disinfection process. The results showed that chlorhexidine was effective in significantly reducing the number of K. pneumoniae colonies, especially at a concentration of 2.5%. The use of chlorhexidine as a routine disinfectant in pneumatic nebulizers could be an effective strategy in the prevention of VAP, thus improving safety in critically ill patients. This study supports the use of chlorhexidine as part of a disinfection protocol to reduce the incidence of VAP caused by K. pneumoniae. In this narrative review, eighteen recent clinical studies that have been published over the last five years studying the therapeutic effects of Anthocyanins in the diet in diabetes are described. Research results show that anthocyanin supplements can control blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin and other diabetes markers. Additionally, larger doses of Anthocyanins were shown to have better effects on diabetes treatment. There is evidence in this review that diets rich in Anthocyanins may increase the risk of diabetes, especially in people at risk. Additionally, research should focus on various clinical biomarkers, the ideal time frame for intervention, and the effect of Anthocyanins in both controlled and uncontrolled diabetes patients. In conclusion, clinical studies show that Anthocyanins can influence many targets related to diabetes mellitus simultaneously. A descriptive cross-sectional approach was used with stratified random sampling of nursing professionals actively involved in the Inpatient, Outpatient, and Medical units. Data collection included quantitative metrics from historical assessments, qualitative insights from Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and a literature review. The method used was a 360-degree evaluation, involving supervisors, colleagues, subordinates, and self-assessment. The results showed significant deficiencies in critical soft skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, empathy, decision-making, and adaptability. The assessment revealed that no soft skills met the hospital's standards, with all scores below the 80% threshold considered very good. The highest levels of soft skills were observed in communication and interpersonal skills, though only 26.0% were rated as sufficient. The acronym "KOMPAK" (Teamwork, Communication, Empathy, Decision Making, Adaptability, Leadership) summarizes the core soft skills for evaluation. The research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The findings reveal three main themes in the experience of self-harm among young adults: 1) causes of self-harm, 2) ideas about self-harm, and 3) the cycle of self-harm. The conclusion indicates that the causes of self-harm vary among individuals, including factors such as family, academic, psychosocial, intrapersonal, personality, unpleasant past experiences, and physical health history. The ideas about self-harm among participants are influenced by everyday media exposure, such as social media and preferred films. The self-harm cycle begins with an individual's negative response to stressors, the type of self-harm performed, the negative feelings experienced before self-harm, and the relief felt as an emotional release after self-harm, which leads individuals to feel addicted and engage in repeated self-harm. In summary, self-harm is a maladaptive coping mechanism that provides only temporary relief from emotional burdens. Various safety incidents, including Adverse Events (AEs), Near Misses (NMs), and No Harm Incidents (NHIs), frequently occur and pose serious risks to patients. This study aims to examine the influence of patient safety competence on patient safety activities and nurse performance assessments. The method used is a literature review, which systematically examines relevant journal articles on patient safety and nurse performance. The selected articles were published between 2020 and 2024 and were sourced from electronic databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and Springer. Search keywords included "Patient Safety," "Patient Safety Activities," and "Nurse Performance Assessment." The results of the study indicate that nurse competence has a significant influence on patient safety. Additionally, motivation, communication, facilities, and support from hospital management play crucial roles in improving nurse performance. Continuous training programs and nurse empowerment are key steps in minimizing patient safety incidents. In conclusion, patient safety and nurse performance are influenced by a combination of individual and organizational factors. Effective management of competence, motivation, communication, and hospital infrastructure is required to create an environment that supports the consistent application of patient safety standards and reduces the risk of injury.

Keywords: Patient Safety, Patient Safety Activities, Nurse Performance Assessment
2024-11-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://journal.ipm2kpe.or.id/index.php/JOTING/article/view/12852Analisis Kebutuhan Konsultasi Luka Berbasis Aplikasi Smartphone pada Luka2024-12-01T20:38:51+00:00Mardiana Mochamad Ramdanmardianamr92@gmail.comYati SuryatiMardianamr92@gmail.comBudi SantosoMardianamr92@gmail.comFitri NurlinaMardianamr92@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the need for smartphone-based wound consultation among patients with wounds.
