Kemunduran Demokrasi di Indonesia: Analisis Laporan Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) Institute 2024
Abstract
Kemunduran demokrasi sudah menjadi isu global, termasuk Indonesia negara yang telah lama dipandang sebagai negara demokrasi terbesar di Asia Tenggara. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat faktor-faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan kemunduran demokrasi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif pada Laporan V-Dem Institue 2024. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa ada 3 faktor utama penyebab kemunduran demokrasi di Indonesia, yaitu; kebebasan berekspresi, kualitas pemilu dan dominasi kekuatan eksekutif terhadap lembaga lainnya. Laporan tersebut menjelaskan adanya tekanan yang signifikan terhadap kebebasan berekspresi, manipulasi hasil pemilu dan campur tangan pemerintah terhadap lembaga yudisial. Kemunduran demokrasi juga memberikan dampak langsung terhadap stabilitas sosial dan ekonomi di Indonesia. Tantangan besar ini masih memiliki potensi untuk diperbaiki melalui kebijakan yang komprehensif dan partisipasi masyarakat luas.
