Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the views of adolescents in Sukabumi about their mental health and the influence of past trauma, self-perception, and health promotion. This study used a quantitative design to examine the influence of past trauma, self-perception, and health promotion on mental health understanding in adolescents. Data from 275 respondents were collected quantitatively using a structured questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale. The results of this study indicate the importance of overcoming trauma, increasing self-esteem, and creating effective health education initiatives. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that it is important to develop appropriate treatments to increase mental health awareness among adolescents in Sukabumi.
