This study aims to explore how fans build interactions with each other after a concert through the uploading of fan videos (fancams) and how these videos become a way for fans to elevate their status within a fandom. This study uses Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis qualitatively to gain deeper insight into the role of fancams in the broader socio-cultural dynamics of the Indonesian K-pop community post-concert. The findings reveal two important new findings that have not been explicitly discussed in previous studies. First, this study found that fancam owners gain 'social power' within the digital community. Second, fancams are used as a means of status enhancement within the fandom. This phenomenon underscores the shift in music and entertainment consumption culture, where fans are no longer simply passive observers of concerts but rather play an active role as content co-creators. Overall, it can be concluded that the creation and dissemination of fancams are carried out as an expression of fan dedication. Uploaded fancams are not merely concert recordings but also a medium for emotional expression, a means of negotiating symbolic power, and a basis for social capital within the fan community. Moreover, fancam activity goes beyond mere entertainment, it becomes a means of mobilizing collective identity and strengthening social position within the fan culture ecosystem.
