Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between K-pop content consumption and academic stress levels among university students. This research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The sample consisted of 255 students selected through simple random sampling. The instruments used were the K-pop content consumption scale and the academic stress scale. The results revealed a significant negative correlation between K-pop content consumption and academic stress (r = -0.460, p < 0.05). This indicates that the higher the consumption of K-pop content, the lower the level of academic stress experienced by students, and vice versa. Therefore, it can be concluded that consuming K-pop content may serve as an emotional coping mechanism to alleviate academic pressure among university students.
