Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the principal's managerial skills and academic supervision on teacher performance at SMA Negeri 8 Lubuk Linggau. The research method used was a quantitative descriptive approach, supported by qualitative data obtained through interviews with the principal and quantitative data collected from questionnaires distributed to all 36 teachers. The results showed that most teachers taught in accordance with their educational backgrounds, developed teaching materials, and managed classroom administration effectively. However, obstacles remained in curriculum integration, the use of learning technology, and the low implementation of TPACK-based innovations. The conclusion of this study is that the principal's managerial skills and academic supervision, when implemented effectively and sustainably, have a positive and significant impact on improving teacher performance in the learning process.
