Manajemen Pelayanan Perpustakaan Berbasis Digital pada UPT Perpustakaan IAIN Curup

Abstract

This study aims to analyze digital-based library service management at the IAIN Curup Library Unit (UPT Library) based on the planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling functions, and to identify obstacles encountered in managing digital services. The research method used was a qualitative approach with field research. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were then analyzed through the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The results indicate that digital-based library service management has been implemented through the development of service development programs, division of tasks and coordination among staff, utilization of various digital platforms, and regular service evaluation and monitoring. Available digital services include SLiMS, OPAC, institutional repositories, E-Theses, scientific journal portals, Open Educational Resources (OER), e-book services, and various digital information channels. However, management still faces obstacles such as budget limitations, the need to improve human resource competency, maintenance of information technology infrastructure, and the need to strengthen information literacy in the use of artificial intelligence. The conclusion of this study is that digital-based library service management at the IAIN Curup Library Unit has supported expanded access to information for the academic community, but needs to be strengthened through increased librarian competency, budgetary and infrastructure support, and ongoing service evaluation.
