Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to examine the impact of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model on improving students' turbo throwing ability. Physical education is essential to support students' cognitive, affective and psychomotor development. However, many elementary school students have difficulty in learning the basics of turbo throwing, resulting in ineffective learning outcomes. This study used a pre-experiment method with a One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The research sample consisted of 15 fourth grade students of SDN Cikeusi I who were selected by purposive sampling. Data analysis using Paired Saample T-Test (t-test) showed a significant increase, namely Sig. <0,001 < 0,005. While the regression test shows that the Team Games Tournament model contributes 62% to the improvement of elementary school students' basic turbo throwing skills. These findings suggest that Team Games Tournament is an effective learning model to improve turbo throwing skills, making physical education more interesting and structured for elementary school students.
