Kajian Dimensi Motivasi Olahraga Santri Pondok Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid Kota Bandung Berdasarkan Jenis Kelamin

This study aims to examine the differences in dimensions of sports motivation between male and female students (santri) at Daarut Tauhiid Islamic Boarding School in Bandung City. A descriptive quantitative approach was used, with a questionnaire adapted from the Sport Motivation Scale-II as the research instrument. A total of 100 students participated (50 males and 50 females). The results indicate a significant difference in sports motivation between male and female students, particularly in the intrinsic motivation dimension, where male students scored higher. However, no significant differences were found in the extrinsic motivation and amotivation dimensions. These findings suggest that gender influences the level and type of sports motivation. Conclusion, sports development programs in Islamic boarding schools should consider gender differences to enhance participation and the effectiveness of physical activities among students.
