Strategi Manajemen Klub Olahraga Renang Prestasi di Kabupaten Sleman: Pendekatan Analisis SWOT

This study aims to evaluate the management of competitive swimming clubs in Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, by integrating the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) managerial approach with SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation involving seven active swimming clubs in the region. The results indicate strengths in coaching quality and athlete motivation, yet highlight structural weaknesses in organizational governance and financial limitations. External opportunities, such as support from local government and community enthusiasm, can be leveraged to strengthen the athlete development system. However, threats like academic-athletic conflict and low sponsor interest remain significant challenges. The study recommends a strategic management model based on POAC and SWOT to enhance club professionalism, foster partnerships, and establish an adaptive and sustainable development ecosystem.
