Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between self-efficacy and physical education learning outcomes in students. This cross-sectional correlational study involved 36 students through simple random sampling. Self-efficacy was measured using a Likert questionnaire and learning outcomes with the Barrow motor ability test. Data were validated using IBM SPSS Statistics version 0.27. Univariate and bivariate analyses (Spearman's Rank correlation test) were performed because the learning outcome data were abnormal. The results of the study showed that self-efficacy had a significant influence on physical education learning outcomes. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test showed normal self-efficacy (Sig. = 0.299), but learning outcomes were not expected (Sig. = 0.000). Spearman's Rank correlation showed a significance of 0.000 and a coefficient of 0.999. In conclusion, a strong, positive, and significant relationship exists between self-efficacy and physical education learning outcomes. Students with high self-efficacy tend to be more confident, more persistent in facing challenges, and better able to overcome obstacles.
