This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Countermovement Jump (CMJ) and Tuck Jump (TJ) exercises in increasing the strength and explosive power of students' leg muscles. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest control group design experiment. The research sample of 30 students was divided into three groups, namely CMJ, TJ, and control, each amounting to 10 people. The instruments used are the Leg Dynamometer Test and Vertical Jump Test. Data were analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk and Levene tests for prerequisites, Paired Sample t-Test for pretest–posttest differences for each group. The results of the analysis showed that the CMJ group experienced the most significant increase (p < 0.001), TJ also increased but was lower (p < 0.01), while the control group was insignificant (p > 0.05). Conclusion, CMJ is more effective than TJ in increasing the explosive strength and power of the leg muscles.
