Komunikasi Interpersonal Guru dengan Anak Tunagrahita dalam Mendukung Kemampuan Motorik melalui Aktivitas Senam

The purpose of this study was to examine the quality of interpersonal communication between teachers and children with intellectual disabilities in supporting their motor skills through gymnastics activities. The method used in this study was a descriptive qualitative method. The type of qualitative research in this study was a case study. Data were collected through interviews and observations. The study was conducted at Roemah Difabel in Semarang. The subjects of this study were physical education teachers who teach children with intellectual disabilities at Roemah Difabel in Semarang, and the subjects were selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles & Huberman model. Data validity was assessed using triangulation. The results of the study indicate that teachers' interpersonal communication plays a crucial role in physical education instruction for children with intellectual disabilities. The findings of this study indicate that the quality of interpersonal communication between teachers and children with intellectual disabilities in supporting motor skills through gymnastics activities at Roemah Difabel in Semarang is considered good. This is demonstrated by teachers' ability to foster open communication, understand each child's circumstances and needs, provide consistent support and motivation, create a positive learning environment, and treat each child according to their individual characteristics and abilities.
