Abstract

Planned and systematic sports training management is a crucial factor in improving athletic performance, including in the sport of gateball. One effective approach is the implementation of training management based on an annual program that adheres to the principles of training periodization. This article aims to examine the implementation of gateball training management based on an annual program in an effort to enhance the performance of athletes in Tabanan Regency. The method employed is a literature review of scientific research and publications from the past five years. The findings indicate that a systematically designed annual program is able to improve athletes' physical, technical, tactical, and mental capacities, thereby contributing significantly to the achievement of optimal performance. Therefore, training management based on an annual program is worth implementing as a strategy for developing gateball athletes.
