Implementasi Problem Based Learning Berbasis Media Lagu Rumus Ditinjau dari Motivasi Belajar Siswa

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of applying the problem-based learning (PBL) model based on formula song media on the learning motivation of seventh-grade students. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach and was conducted at SMP Nurul Islam Ngemplak. The cluster random sampling technique was used to select the research sample, where the trial class was VII B, the experimental class was VII C, and the control class was VII D. Data analysis was performed using two-way ANOVA with unequal cells. The study results indicate that: (1) there is an influence of the PBL model based on formula song media and the PBL model alone on students' learning outcomes, with the PBL model based on formula song media being more effective (sig 0.002 < 0.005), (2) learning motivation significantly affects learning outcomes, where higher motivation leads to better results (sig 0.000 < 0.005), and (3) there is no interaction between the PBL model based on formula song media and students' learning motivation on their learning outcomes (sig 0.801 > 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that the application of the PBL model based on formula song media significantly influences students' learning motivation.
