Abstract

This study aims to develop mathematics student worksheets (LKPD) based on the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on the topic of area and perimeter of plane figures for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 02 Srimulyo. Prior to the development process, a preliminary study consisting of literature review and field study was conducted to identify the needs of teachers and students regarding teaching materials. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative research. The research instruments consisted of teacher interview sheets for needs analysis and student questionnaires. The results showed that 84.4% of students already had mathematics textbooks, but 97.7% of students found the material on area and perimeter difficult to understand. In addition, 87.5% of students stated that the textbooks were insufficient as learning resources, 95.5% needed additional teaching materials, and 93.7% required teaching materials that could improve higher-order thinking skills. In conclusion, it is necessary to develop CTL-based LKPD to support more effective and contextual mathematics learning.
