This study aimed to analyze the relationship between local knowledge embedded in the Pacu Jalur tradition and senior high school biology learning, particularly in biodiversity topics. The method used was descriptive qualitative with document analysis, in which national and international scientific sources discussing the Pacu Jalur tradition, ethnoscience, and biology education were purposively selected based on topic relevance and information completeness. Data were analyzed using the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that community activities — including wood selection, logging rules, processing techniques, and forest resource utilization in the Pacu Jalur tradition — are closely related to species diversity and sustainable biodiversity use, and align with the learning outcomes and objectives of Phase E biology instruction. In conclusion, the Pacu Jalur tradition has the potential to be used as a contextual biology learning resource for biodiversity topics because it aligns with the learning outcomes and objectives of Phase E in the Merdeka Curriculum.
