Abstract

This study aims to determine the principal's management in developing a religious culture within the learning process systematically at SD Negeri 4 Lubuk Linggau City. This study employed a qualitative approach using an exploratory and interpretative single case study design. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 4 Lubuk Linggau City. The informants consisted of all parties directly involved in implementing the religious culture within the school. Informants were selected using purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using Braun and Clarke's thematic analysis due to its flexibility in identifying, analyzing, and interpreting patterns of meaning emerging from the data. The findings revealed that (1) the principal developed comprehensive and inclusive planning by integrating religious culture into the school's operational curriculum and teachers’ instructional planning documents; (2) the development of religious culture was consistently implemented through role-modeling strategies and daily habituation activities, such as collective prayers, tadarus, and congregational prayers, as well as weekly activities including Friday Charity and Yasinan; and (3) the implemented management successfully improved students’ worship discipline, politeness (akhlakul karimah), and fostered a religious school environment at SD Negeri 4 Lubuk Linggau City.
